Moving a VM to a different availability zone

When creating a VM, you can choose the Nebius Israel availability zone where it will be located.

You cannot move a VM to a different availability zone; however, you can create a copy of it in a different availability zone.

To change the availability zone of a VM:

  1. Create a snapshot of each of the VM's disks, see Creating a disk snapshot.
  2. Create a VM in a different availability zone with the disks from the snapshots, see Create a VM with disks restored from snapshots.
  3. Delete the original VM, see Deleting a VM.
